What’s Happening
Since June 11, 2026, the Page Indexing report has been receiving updates in large, infrequent batches instead of the normal 2-4 day latency window.
According to shared SEO observations, the community has shown only three distinct data refreshes covering extended periods:
- June 13–30 (18-day gap)
- July 1–10 (10-day gap)
- July 11–24 (14-day gap)
This means users may see the report remain static for over a week, then suddenly receive two weeks’ worth of data in a single update.
Google Confirms Reporting Issue Only
Google Search Central has stated that the delays affect only the reporting layer in Search Console, not the underlying crawling or indexing systems.
Google Search Central previously acknowledged the reporting delays, stating: “We’re currently experiencing longer than usual delays in the Search Console Index Coverage report. This only affects reporting, not crawling, indexing, or ranking of websites.”
John Mueller from Google’s Search team has echoed this on social media, noting that the issue is “usually just reporting, and not related to actual indexing.”
